The FIFA World Cup 2026 has become the fastest World Cup since 1958 to reach 100 goals, crossing the mark in 33 matches. Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo scored the 100th goal in his team's 5-1 win over Sweden. In FIFA World Cup 1954, the first 100 goals came in 20 matches. The 2026 edition currently averages 3.09 goals per game.
