IAS officer & NDMC chief apologises for waterlogging after 'unexpected' rainfall

IAS officer and New Delhi Municipal Council Chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi apologised for waterlogging on Tuesday after heavy rainfall. He said water is usually drained after 15-20 minutes, but in some areas it took longer. "There was more than 72 mm rainfall in less than 2 hours...and this was quite unexpected...But this cannot be an excuse," he said.
