The BJP on Saturday retained the Kedarnath Assembly seat in Uttarakhand Assembly by-polls as the party candidate, Asha Nautiyal, secured the victory with 23,814 votes. Nautiyal defeated Congress candidate Manoj Rawat by a margin of 5,622 votes. Independent candidate Tribhuwan Singh garnered 9,311 votes. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said this is a "huge victory" for the BJP.
