US-based AI lending platform Upstart has laid off 140 employees, TechCrunch reported. "We are making this difficult decision for the long-term health of the company," an Upstart spokesperson said, adding that no further layoffs are expected. In the latest filing, the company said that the decision was taken due to "reduction in the volume of loans" on its platform.
