UK's Defence Ministry said Russian troops were working on establishing a new defensive line in Ukraine's northeast. The line likely is between the Oskil River and the town of Svatove, some 150 kilometres southeast of Ukraine's second-largest city Kharkiv, it added. This comes as a counteroffensive operation saw Ukrainian forces recapture large parts of land in the northeastern Kharkiv region.
