Getty Images is considering a merger with its rival Shutterstock, Bloomberg reported. Shares of Getty have lost over 50% of their value over the past year as the stock image company struggles to retain customers. The potential merger comes amid the rise of image-generation AI tools like Midjourney and DALL-E 2, which can generate unique images cheaply.
