Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the 'One Nation, One Election' (ONOE) project was not brought "overnight". "ONOE project was not brought overnight but it was discussed in detail by a high-powered committee chaired by former President Ramnath Kovind," he said. The two Bills on ONOE were passed by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
