Cardiologist explains why recurring leg cramps are not 'normal'

Cardiologist Dr Dmitry Yaranov said that recurring leg cramps may signal serious health issues. He said cramps that occur while walking and ease with rest could indicate peripheral artery disease due to blocked arteries. Surgeon Dr Jagdish Chattnalli warned that frequent cramps at rest or during sleep, especially with pain, numbness or weakness, may point to nerve or circulation problems.
