400 WWII shells uncovered in French village after blasts during wildfire

More than 400 World War II shells and ammunition have been uncovered in Le Porge village in southwestern France after devastating wildfires in July. Explosions heard near the village during wildfires, initially mistaken for exploding gas cylinders, could have been these shells, authorities said. Over 3,500 villagers had been forced to flee their homes.
