The woman seen in a viral video kicking a small girl on the chest, prompting her to fall down the stairs, is the girl's mother, Maharashtra WCD Minister Aditi S Tatkare said. It was initially claimed that the woman was an Anganwadi worker. "The concerned woman has been made aware that beating young children is a crime," Tatkare said.
