China has reaffirmed its territorial claims over the Shaksgam Valley despite India's strong objections to the former's infrastructure development projects there. China claimed its projects were "beyond reproach". "Shaksgam Valley is Indian territory. We have never recognised the so-called China-Pakistan boundary agreement...We further reserve the right to take necessary measures," India had said.
