Govt medicines worth ₹70 lakh seized after racket busted in Delhi

Delhi Police unearthed a racket involved in illegal diversion and sale of government-supplied medicines meant for free distribution in hospitals and confiscated drugs worth ₹70 lakh. Five persons, including a pharmacist and a contractual helper posted at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, were arrested. Police said racket ran for a year, and medicines were siphoned off to be sold via brokers.
