How did a DU photocopywala take on big publishers like Oxford, Cambridge & win?

A Delhi University photocopy shop took on Oxford Press and Cambridge University Press after they sued it for ₹65 lakh in 2012 over photocopying book chapters for student course packs. Students backed shop owner, arguing that buying dozens of expensive academic books was unaffordable. Delhi HC in 2016 dismissed the suit, ruling that such photocopying for educational use was allowed.
