What is the difference between LPG & LNG?
short by Garima Garg / on Saturday, 28 March, 2026
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) becomes liquid under moderate pressure, making it easy to store in cylinders and highly portable. It's mainly used as a cooking fuel. LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) liquefies at very low temperatures (−162°C) and has to be stored in cryogenic tanks. It's usually regasified before being used as a fuel for transport, industry, and power generation.
