Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr removed Vice President Sara Duterte from the National Security Council (NSC) after she allegedly plotted to kill him. President Marcos said reorganisation of NSC was needed to ensure its council members uphold and protect national security and sovereignty. In November last year, Duterte said that she had contracted an assassin to kill the president.
