Govt rejects space for 135-yr-old library with 8.5 lakh books in Central Vista plan: Report

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is yet to find a space for the Central Secretariat Library (CSL) as Shastri Bhawan is pulled down as part of Central Vista revamp plan. The CSL is 135 years old and contains 8.5 lakh books. The Indian Express reported that the government has rejected proposed space of two rooms for the library.
