Eatery sees food-safety compliance costs rise amid raids: Report
A Gurugram-based restaurant owner said food-safety compliance costs had risen 1.5 times in a month due to tighter documentation and expiry-date monitoring, Moneycontrol reported. Fresh inspections across Maharashtra and Karnataka have pushed restaurants and quick-commerce firms to strengthen compliance. Businesses are also increasing audits and scrutinising products and ingredients more closely.
