JSW Cement gets ₹230 crore GST demand notice

JSW Cement received a show-cause notice from the Additional Commissioner of Central Tax, Belagavi, proposing a ₹229.85 crore GST demand for alleged incorrect classification. The demand covers April 2022–March 2024 under Section 73 of CGST Act, plus interest and 10% penalty. The company said there is no material impact and is filing a reply.
