Pritam Rani, Yashdeep become 1st mother-son duo to play in Hockey WC

Pritam Rani Siwach and Yashdeep Siwach have become the first mother-son duo to play in the Hockey World Cup. While Pritam played in the Women's Hockey World Cup 1998 in the Netherlands, Yashdeep made his debut during India's Men's Hockey World Cup 2026 opener against Wales in the same country. "Since childhood, I've been surrounded by hockey," Yashdeep had said.
