India's Rishabh finishes 6th in Asian Games men's 100m backstroke final despite personal best

Indian swimmer Rishabh Das finished sixth in the men's 100m backstroke final at the Asian Games 2026 on Sunday. He failed to secure a medal despite recording a personal best of 54.77 seconds in the final. Meanwhile, China's Jiayu Xu won the gold by breaking his own Asian Games record with a time of 51.98 seconds.
