The United Nations' International Maritime Organization (IMO) has launched an operation to evacuate around 11,000 seafarers stuck near the Strait of Hormuz. "This large-scale operation ​will be carried out in close cooperation with Iran, Oman...[and] the United States," IMO ​Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez said. Under the plan, ships with 11,000 seafarers will be navigated through the strait.
