Nasdaq seeks approval for 23-hour trading during weekdays

Nasdaq is planning to submit paperwork with US Securities and Exchange Commission to expand trading hours of stocks from 16 hours to 23 hours, five days a week. This comes amid rising investor demand for nonstop trading. The firm asked the Commission for permission to add an additional trading session, from 9 pm to 4 am Eastern Time (ET).
