Won't withdraw from Lebanon until Hezbollah disarmed: Israel after US criticism

Israel said it will not withdraw from southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed, a day after suggesting its forces could remain there indefinitely, drawing US' criticism. Israel said it had instructed the IDF to prepare for an extended presence in the area to protect its troops and communities until the goal of Hezbollah's disarmament is fully achieved.
