The Karnataka government is yet to clear over ₹4,000 crore in dues to the four state road transport corporations under the Shakti Scheme, which offers free bus travel to women, NDTV reported. Reacting to the data, the Opposition BJP criticised the ruling Congress and accused it of bankrupting the Road Transport Corporations (RTCs) and endangering public transport infrastructure.
