BR Shetty sues Bank of Baroda for ₹1.4 lakh crore over NMC Healthcare fraud

NMC Healthcare Founder BR Shetty has sued Bank of Baroda and 25 others in the Bombay High Court, seeking $15 billion (around ₹1.4 lakh crore) in damages. He alleges the lender facilitated transactions used to divert funds from group companies and ignored over 100 money-laundering alerts. Shetty also claims the bank relied on guarantees bearing his forged signatures.
