India-Bangladesh working groups to meet amid strained ties

India and Bangladesh are reviving institutional mechanisms, with a joint trade working group meeting scheduled in New Delhi on October 8-9. A consular affairs meeting is also being planned. Ties have been strained since Sheikh Hasina's ouster in August 2024. PM Tarique Rahman's bilateral visit to India remains unscheduled due to busy diplomatic calendars on both sides.
