According to sources, Air India is set to begin twice weekly nonstop service between Bengaluru and San Francisco from October-end. The route was suffering from lack of connectivity as western airlines are not overflying the Russian airspace. Air India flies over the Russian airspace, allowing its flights to take the shortest possible route.
