The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) permanently sealed one of Hamas' largest underground tunnel networks in Gaza with concrete, where remains of its Lieutenant Hadar Goldin were held captive by Hamas. The 16-kilometre tunnel complex, also called "White Sparrow," contained around 80 rooms used by Hamas as a command-and-control centre. Goldin was killed and abducted by Hamas on August 1, 2014.
