Bengal records 500+ new dengue cases in seven days
West Bengal has recorded over 500 new dengue cases in the past seven days, taking the total this year to more than 4,500. Murshidabad remains the worst-hit district, with 870 cases overall and 96 new infections. Kolkata follows with 402 cases. Health officials intensified door-to-door surveillance and blood testing after issuing a dengue prevention SOP.
