Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday announced the Mujib Scholarship for direct descendants of Indian soldiers killed or grievously injured in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. As many as 200 family members of Indian Army personnel will reportedly receive the scholarship, which will be conferred on Wednesday. A total of 1,984 Indian Army personnel were reportedly killed in the war.
