India has abstained from voting on a resolution of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) that seeks to address the "deteriorating human rights situation in Ukraine stemming from the Russian aggression". Eleven other countries, including Pakistan and Venezuela, also abstained from voting, while China and Eritrea voted against it. The resolution was adopted after 33 countries voted in its favour.
