India has extended its ban imposed on Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) by five more years. The Ministry of Home Affairs in a statement said the separatist group may be based in Sri Lanka but it has supporters and sympathisers in India and is still engaging in activities 'prejudicial to the integrity and security of the country'.
