Monaco is the world's most expensive city, with apartment prices regularly exceeding $35,000 per square metre, according to Henley & Partners. It is followed by New York City, London, Hong Kong, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Sydney. Paris, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Miami Beach, Singapore, The Bay Area, Nice, Geneva, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Antibes, Portofino, Tokyo and Lugano also feature in the top 20.
