World number 3 Alexander Zverev defeated Britain's Arthur Fery in the semi-final to reach his maiden Wimbledon final. Zverev beat wild card Fery 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4 in two hours and 14 minutes. Fery was the first wild card in 25 years to reach the Wimbledon men's singles semi-finals, and the only British singles player to progress past the second round.
