RBI Deputy Governor M Rajeshwar Rao said "tainted" promoters misuse asset reconstruction companies (ARCs) route to enter bankruptcy and stressed on improving governance practices. This aspect has become relevant since introduction of IBC's Section 29A, which meant to keep away promoters responsible for insolvency, he said. "It's important that ARCs have strong governance frameworks," he added.
