India must boost manufacturing, services for 2047 goal: CEA

Chief Economic Adviser V Anantha Nageswaran, speaking at SBI Banking and Economics Conclave 2026, said India must strengthen manufacturing and services to achieve developed nation status by 2047. He called for stable tax policies, stronger investor protections, competitive exports, and AI-resilient jobs in sectors like hospitality and elder care to address rising inequality.
