SA once needed 22 runs to win off 13 balls against England, rain rule made it 21 off 1
short by Anmol Sharma / on Friday, 28 February, 2025
South Africa needed 22 off 13 balls to win World Cup semi-final against England on March 22, 1992 when rain stopped play. When play resumed, SA's target became 21 off 1 ball due to rain rule, according to which reduction in target was proportionate to lowest-scoring overs of side batting first. SA will face England in CT 2025 on Saturday.
