The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has cleared defence procurement proposals worth ₹2.38 lakh crore. The approval was accorded for air defence tracked system, armoured piercing tank ammunition, Dhanush Gun System, medium transport aircraft, S-400, remotely piloted strike aircraft and heavy duty air cushion vehicles among other proposals.
