Pakistan's Punjab government has introduced a daily 'Gobar Tax' of PKR 30 per buffalo under the 'Suthra Punjab' (Clean Punjab) Biogas Programme, according to reports. The government aims to collect dung from 168 cattle colonies to power biogas plants. Opposition leaders slammed the move, saying that Pakistan's largest province has run out of real revenue sources.
