Sunrise Foods fined ₹1 lakh for claiming '100% whole wheat' in bread containing just 64%

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined Sunrise Foods ₹1 lakh for marketing its Everyday bread as "100% Whole Wheat Bread" despite it containing only 64% whole wheat. The company has been ordered to immediately stop the misleading advertisement. Earlier, Britannia Industries was fined ₹1 lakh for selling bread containing 62% whole wheat flour under the same claim.
