IDFC First Bank appointed KPMG as the independent external agency to conduct forensic audit into ₹590-crore fraud linked to Haryana government-related accounts at its Chandigarh branch. The audit move comes amid action by Haryana government which instructed all departments to stop using the bank for government transactions. Four suspected bank staff have been put under suspension in the matter.
