Philippines' Armed Forces said its navy personnel were assaulted by China's coast guard with a wooden baton in the South China Sea. It added that the Chinese vessel was approaching Philippines Navy's BRP Sierra Madre ship leading to navy personnel approaching the coast guard to drive them away.
