IPL cricketer Abishek Porel denied bail in rape case

Bengal and Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel has been denied bail by a Chinsurah court in a case involving allegations of rape, intimidation and sexual relations on a false promise of marriage. Porel, arrested on August 11 after a Calcutta High Court direction, has denied the allegations. He has been sent to 14 days' judicial custody.
