The Philippines' Ambassador to India, Josel F Ignacio, said the Indian Navy's growing presence in the South China Sea sends "an important signal" on rights guaranteed under UNCLOS. He also hailed growing India-Philippines ties, including the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile deal, adding, "Beyond defence and security, India has an important contribution to make in terms of economic resilience."
