Elon Musk called AI researcher François Chollet's 10-20 year timeline for AI dominating all scientific fields "conservative," predicting AI will "beat all fields" by end of 2027 or 2028. Musk has repeatedly shortened his AI timelines, previously predicting AI smarter than any human by end of 2026 or 2027.
