Haryana seeks return of 4 IAS officers from Centre

Haryana has formally written to the Centre seeking repatriation of four IAS officers — V Umashankar, Rakesh Gupta, Nitin Kumar Yadav, and Vikas Gupta — as the state faces a deepening officer shortage. Of 226 sanctioned IAS posts, only 179 are filled, leaving 47 vacant. Recent retirements and CBI chargesheet against five officers have worsened the crisis.
