India, France amend tax treaty, delete most‑favoured‑nation clause

India and France amended the India-France Double Taxation Avoidance Convention (DTAC). The amending protocol deletes "Most-Favoured-Nation Clause" and provides full taxation of capital gains arising from a company's share sale to the jurisdiction where it is a resident. It also modified the taxation of income from dividends by replacing a single rate of 10% of tax with a split rate.
