Deaf twin babies hear mother's voice after ear surgery in Australia

Twin baby boys Jack and Artie Porter became the first children in Australia to undergo simultaneous bilateral cochlear implant surgery on same day. Born profoundly deaf, the brothers heard their mother's voice for the first time after implants were activated. Doctors described surgery as a landmark achievement that could transform the twins' ability to hear and interact with outside world.
