Actress Priyanka Chopra celebrated Holi in India while filming SS Rajamouli's upcoming project. Sharing pictures with the film's crew on Instagram, she wrote, "It's a working Holi for us". In one of the photos, her cheek is covered in colours. Her post further read, "Here's wishing everyone celebrating a very Happy Holi full of laughter and togetherness."

Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Gujarat Giants (GG) by 47 runs in the WPL 2025 Eliminator at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. With this, MI have reached WPL final for the second time. They will face Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final on Saturday. In the Eliminator, MI posted a total of 213/4 and dismissed GG for 166 in 19.2 overs.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said his country is in favour of a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, however he said that there are "issues that we need to discuss". Commenting on the ceasefire deal proposed by US, Putin said he believes "we need to negotiate with our American colleagues" and "maybe" have a phone call with US President Donald Trump.

CBSE announced that Class 12 students who are unable to appear for Hindi Core (302)/Hindi Elective (002) exam, which is scheduled to take place on March 15, will be given an opportunity to appear in a special examination. The board noted that despite Holi being celebrated on March 14, celebrations may take place a day later in a few places.

Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) militants have said that Pakistan is lying about ending the train hijack. "[Pakistan] has neither achieved victory on the battlefield nor managed to save its hostage personnel," the BLA added. "The individuals whom the Pakistani state and its propaganda machinery claim to have 'recovered' were in fact released by the BLA," it further said.

After Tamil Nadu government changed the official rupee symbol '₹' in state budget to the Tamil letter for "Ru" amid Hindi-Tamil row, BJP's K Annamalai said DMK-led government replaced the symbol designed by a Tamilian. "Udhay Kumar, who designed the [₹] symbol, is the son of a former DMK MLA. How stupid can you become, Thiru MK Stalin," Annamalai added.

ISRO has successfully undocked two satellites as part of its Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) mission. The docking process of the two satellites was completed in January. SpaDeX mission was launched on December 30, 2024. "This paves the way for smooth conduct of ambitious future missions including Bharatiya Antriksha Station, Chandrayaan 4 & Gaganyaan," Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh tweeted.

The CM MK Stalin-led Tamil Nadu government has changed the official rupee symbol '₹' in its state Budget logo for 2025-26 to the Tamil letter for "Ru" representing the same. This comes amid a row over the three-language policy under National Education Policy. The use of the new symbol can be seen in a pre-Budget video post by CM Stalin.

Former India fast bowler Syed Abid Ali passed away at the age of 83 in California. The Hyderabad-born cricketer represented India in 29 Test matches and five ODIs. He took 47 Test wickets and seven ODI wickets. Notably, he hit the winning runs for India at The Oval in 1971 to give India their first Test series triumph in England.
