Researchers keep lab-grown human brain tissue alive for 7 years

Researchers from Harvard University kept a lab-grown human brain tissue alive for seven years, setting a new record. They recorded the tissue maturing over time, adding that human brain cells and the artificial cells showed striking similarities. Researchers further said the brains recorded the "passage of time", mirroring the development of a human brain from pregnancy to early childhood.
